What is showerproof protection?

All showerproof garments are resistant to light rain, where the fabric is treated with an outer cat finish and/or waterproof membrane is added to the reverse side of rainwear fabrics. Generally, we a garment repels liquid on the outside and is not fully seam-sealed on the inside, it is also categorised as showerproof.

What is waterproof protection?

This is different to water-resistant clothing. Our Bisley men’s workwear vests designs do not focus on being water-resistant more so featuring elements of safety and comfort. Water-resistant clothing usually has water resistant membranes added to the reverse side of rainwear fabrics to ensure that no water can penetrate from outside. Water-resistant garments are fully sealed on the inside keeping you completely dry in the wet weather.

What is Hi Vis?

Hi-Visibility clothing, also known as Hi Vis, is any clothing won that is highly luminescent in its natural matt property or a colour that is easily discernible from any background.

Health and safety regulations of all industrial environments require some form of hi vis garment as a part of a tradesman's uniform while working as a form of personal protective equipment (PPE). Fluorescent Yellow and Orange are the most common colours of hi vis garments like men’s workwear vests.

Where can I wear Hi Vis Vests?

Almost all tradie jobs require some form of Hi Vis clothing or uniform while working on site. These trade industries are recognised as high-risk environments. For all tradesmen and/or women to remain safe while working in these environments, a hi vis garment or in this case a hi vis vest is important to be wearing while on site. This is because it reduces the risk of hazards and keeps all employees visible during the day and night while working near machinery.
